The St. George Regional Airport (SGU) will be closed for runway improvements May 29 to September 25, 2019.
St. George and the surrounding region are still easily accessible through other transportation options. Flying into McCarran International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas offers a scenic, easy, two-hour drive north on I-15. The Cedar City Municipal Airport, approximately 50 minutes to the north via I-15, will offer additional connections through Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) also provides an alternative four hours north of St. George.
Shuttle services, St. George Shuttle and St. George Express, offer service to/from the Las Vegas and Salt Lake City airports to St. George. Charter helicopter transportation is also available through Zion Helicopters to and from Las Vegas and Cedar City to the St. George and the Hurricane Airports.
The SGU airport will resume flights on September 26 with daily flights in and out via United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, and seasonal travel via Allegiant. The airport offers daily non-stop flights to and from key hubs such as Salt Lake City, Denver, Phoenix and Los Angeles.
