While you’re in the St. George area enjoying sports or outdoor adventures, you may want to take a break from all that action, and the Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum is perfect for that change of pace.
The Western Sky Aviation Warbird Museum is a fun little museum located just past the airport. What makes this museum worth mentioning is that it’s a very unique experience that I honestly wouldn’t have expected to find in a place like St. George. It’s also interactive, which makes it a great experience for kids! They actually have a couple planes that both adults or children can climb into and get a picture as a “pilot”.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable—not just about the planes but about the history of aviation in WWII as well. It’s a great way for kids and adults to learn about the dangers pilots faced in WWII and what part planes played in the war. Almost any question you can come up with, they’re sure to have the answer.
Remember: variety is the spice of life, and this little aviation museum is a quality variation to throw into your next visit to the St. George area. For more information or directions see their website www.westernskywarbirds.org.
