Important IRONMAN 70.3 North American Pro Championship Race Information
We want to make you aware that we are making some improvements to the 2016 bike course based on local road projects, athlete feedback, and safety. We listened to your comments and we hope the changes will improve safety and your race day experience.
The changes for 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 North American Pro Championships include removing the out and back section on Highland Parkway in Washington, and the technical and slow section through the park and softball fields in St. George. To make up the distance we will be continuing further into Ivins City along Center Street which is a clean, straight, flat, and fast section then making a U-turn and heading back up Snow Canyon for the signature climb and back into St. George via State Route 18.
The run course will remain the same as 2015 with runners going through Pioneer Park only one time and the new out-and-back section on the bike path that overlooks downtown St. George and the finish line.
We hope to see you in St. George for this great event. We believe these course changes will improve athlete safety and add to the spectacular scenery of the 2016 IRONMAN 70.3 North American Pro Championship event in St. George.
