Spend two days in this in-depth workshop on photography during one of the most visually exciting times of the year in Zion. Shades of yellow, peach and red abound as the group works among the box elder, cottonwood, and maple trees in the park. The group will work in several geologically distinct areas with the chance to photograph sweeping landscapes or to concentrate on the small things that make Zion special. For the serious photo enthusiast, this is a chance to further your techniques and see the parkäó»s many natural resources. A primary goal in this class will be to teach all participants how to operate their cameras in full manual mode. Tripods are a äóìmust.äó The first three hours of the first day will be indoors and the rest of your class time will be in the field making photographs with someone who knows the park inside and out. Feel free to bring samples of your work for a group critique. Limited to 8 participants. Class breaks each day @ noon for lunch and reconvenes @ 2:30 and stays out till dusk. Please note: This is a photography class, not a computer class. There will not be a digital darkroom component to this class. There is 3 äóñ 4 miles walking on uneven ground with some uphill/downhill each day. Participants must be honest in assessing their ability to traverse this terrain under these conditions!
